Senior Minister, Michael O'Berski

Born in the suburbs of Detroit, Michael O’Berski has been a life-long resident of Michigan.

Michael is a ’75 graduate of the school of Education at Michigan State University. Raised with a denominational church background, it was while a student at MSU that he was challenged to a personal relationship with Christ and met his true love, Susie.

Michael and Susie were married after he returned from the Peace Corps. They will soon celebrate their 32nd anniversary. They have five sons, three daughters (in law) and three amazing and almost perfect granddaughters.

Michael served 10 years as a campus minister with His House Christian Fellowship followed by 12 years as the Sr. Minister at the West Lansing Church of Christ. After a God-directed “sabbatical” Michael was invited to serve alongside the congregation at the Oakland Drive Christian Church as the Senior Minister. He has been serving ODCC since May, 2007.

Michael’s passions are worship, outreach and missions. It is his intent that worship be dynamic, Spirit directed, and Christ honoring. Michael’s belief is that preaching should be Scripture focused, alive and purposeful in its application to daily life.

Come to ODCC to be encouraged, refreshed, and fulfilled in your greatest of life’s callings, to live on purpose for Christ!

You are always welcome here,
Michael O

Youth Director, Paul Stinnett

Paul Stinnett and his family first came to the Oakland Drive Christian Church in the summer of 2001.  He has been involved in a number of ministries at Oakland Drive including Director of Small Groups and teaching various Bible classes.

Paul met his wife to be, Lorene, at the Paw Paw Avenue Church of Christ in the early 1980’s while still in high school.  Paul attended Rochester College (formally Michigan Christian College) before returning home and marrying Lorene in January of 1987.  They have 4 children and have lived in Mattawan for the past 16 years.

Paul’s history includes work with a variety of congregations affiliated with the Restoration Movement.  He is a “preacher’s kid”, raised in the Church of Christ where his father served for 25 years. It was during this time that Paul committed his life to Christ and was baptized.

Paul’s passion is in Youth Ministry!  It is his desire to challenge the youth at ODCC and the surrounding communities to a deeper relationship to Christ. For more information on the Youth Ministry, please visit our webpage!  Paul has been Youth Director since 2004.

On behalf of the Youth Ministry, we extend a warm welcome and an open invitation for you to visit!

Children's Ministery Director, Judy Dustin

I’d like to share a little of my background with you.  I was a youth of 15 years old when my family came to ODCC.  I graduated from Mattawan High School and went to Ozark Bible College (Ozark Christian College) in Joplin, Missouri for two years.  Ken and I married here at ODCC in 1969 and I transferred to Central Christian College of the Bible in Moberly, Missouri where Ken attended and I finished my education with a Bachelor of Science in Christian Education.  Ken and I were among the first recipients of the church’s mission scholarship fund for Bible College students for which we are very grateful.

I have used my education in every congregation where Ken and I served.  For quite a few years as minister and wife and many more years as workers in the local churches we attended.

Areas I have served with youth are:  Sunday School teacher – pre-school to junior high, youth leader, VBS director 12 times, children’s choir, children’s Christmas programs and Christian Service Camp.

I am a mother of two sons Lt.JG Daniel Dustin, USN, and Jonathan Dustin.  I am also the grandmother of two wonderful grandchildren.
