On this page you will find descriptions of all of the various ministries that we have at ODCC. We believe that according to Romans 12 we all have our own spiritual gifts given to us by God through His Holy Spirit. We use these various gifts in these ministries to help our family of God here at ODCC thrive and grow.

As a ministry, we strive to be the “hands and feet” of corporate worship. We desire to express our devotion to our Savior and facilitate an attitude of worship throughout the congregation.

Ministry Head - Carol Baas

First and foremost we exist as a ministry to worship, glorify and praise our Lord and God. We are about inspiring, not impressing. We sing to usher all of us into an encounter with our living God.

Ministry Head - Carol Baas

Serve the communion emblems to the congregation in an orderly fashion. Also, if desired, help create a worshipful attitude in preparation for the Lord’s Table by sharing Scripture, a meditative thought if desired, and prayer.

Ministry Head - Brian Smith

Help guests and members by physically walking them to the nursery and children’s classes, coat room, or into the service to aid them in finding a comfortable seat.

Provide communion to those who are homebound, ill or specifically request a visit for communion.

Ministry Head - Rick Davison

Prepare communion trays with juice and bread. In addition, used baptism robes are taken home and laundered. Instructions for both functions are posted in the prep area behind the worship platform.

Ministry Head - Kathy Quinn

Greet family and visitors before both church services and the Sunday school hour, handing out bulletins, giving directions to classrooms and finding family members to use as escorts for visitors.

Ministry Heads - June Cramer & Jack Irwin

Assist the youth leaders with group activities and special events by sharing Jesus Christ within our community, interacting with others and preparing our youth for service to others.

Ministry Head - Paul Stinnett

Organize groups who will commit to regularly meeting with each other, sharing a devotion, and building relationships. Each group will define their own dates and meeting locations.

Ministry Head - Randy Baas

A midweek program to provide an opportunity for people of all ages to learn more about God’s Word and fellowship with our Christian family. There are many areas of opportunity in this ministry including teaching, baby-sitting, singing, cleaning and many more!!

Ministry Head - Carol Baas

Strengthen and encourage our children's faith by complementing the Biblical foundations being taught by parents. Provide a safe and loving environment in which all children can learn about the love of God the Father, through His son Jesus Christ. Provide numerous opportunities for adults to grow and develop in their faith and their commitment to our Lord.

Ministry Head - Ben Leonard

The goal of this committee is to help bring the message of salvation in Jesus Christ to the lost. We are looking for inventive ways for our members to easily invite friends, co-workers and family members to our church. We will also be planning special events targeted towards bringing in non-Christians and seekers.

Ministry Head - Jack Dowden

Provide quality care for your infants and toddlers while you participate in worship and fellowship at ODCC. Below is a list of their current needs.
Associate Director- Someone to replace Carrie on the Sundays when she is out of town.
Nursery Stocker- Someone to stock the nursery with needed supplies
Nursery Greeter- People to check children in and out of the nursery.
Nursery Volunteers- Both full time and substitute volunteers are needed for Sunday school and 11:00 service

Ministry Head - Carrie Leonard

The purpose of this ministry is to assist women in growing and sustaining a deep and abiding love relationship with their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We seek to support, encourage, teach and model a life that is committed to seeking and loving the Lord with all our hearts, souls and minds, and loving one another with an everlasting love. We seek to teach the Biblical truth in all areas of life and how to apply those truths in order to live a victorious Christian life. We are currently offering in depth bibles studies, a women’s fall retreat and training discipleship leaders who will begin sometime next year to offer discipling groups.

This ministry exists to minister and bless our newer and younger members of ODCC. It is the ministries desire to involve as many of our “older” women in the church to bless and nurture the “younger."

Ministry Head - Carol Baas

A men’s ministry aimed at reviving the Spirit of God in the lives of our men. This includes planning the monthly men’s breakfasts, devotions, special speakers and outings like Promise Keepers, Leadership Seminars, etc.

Ministry Head - Jack Dowden

In answer to Matt 21:13, House of Prayer ministry seeks to build an atmosphere of prayer to under gird and support the church and its mission.

Ministry Heads - Lori Freund & Matt Gilligan

Assist with communicating to various missions supported by the church and communicates mission work and needs to the church family. Help with the mission emphasis in the spring every other year.

Ministry Head - Barbara Thomas

This ministry helps to organize our annual clothing drive where we partner with an organization called Master Provisions to reach out for help from our community to our brothers and sisters overseas.

Ministry Head - Gena Gilligan

Organize and host wedding and baby showers for those in need.

Ministry Heads - Anne Davey & Freda Steinagel

Send birthday cards to each family member, as well as other needed cards, i.e. sympathy and congratulations and notes of encouragement.

Send cards, letters and care packages to students.

Ministry Head - Jolene Davey

Provide people who are willing to work on any drama needs that the church family needs. They may be full scale plays, such as our Christmas cantata, or as short as a Sunday morning skit. The needs include stage hands, set crew/builders, actors, and artists or people that just like to be creative with fabric and paint.

Ministry Head - Kayla Dowden

Assist the deacons with repairs and special projects that need to be done to the church building as well as maintenance of the grounds surrounding the church. This would include special fall and spring clean up days and routine maintenance throughout the year.

Ministry Head - Deacon Chairman Brian Smith

Work with worship team to provide required floral decorations as well as decorations for various seasons.

Ministry Head - Jean Davison

Create ways to advertise the books and introduce new members to the library (take a book and go to the classrooms to explain what is available to them).

Assist secretary with special needs such as updating the directory, graduation booklets, newsletters, bulletins and other projects.

Update and maintain ODCC web page.

Ministry Head - Eric Dush

Create messages and presentations for monitors with announcements and current information.

Ministry Head - Kayla Dowden

Run sound & lighting for Sunday morning worship services and special events.

Lead worship songs and provide message to the residents of Sojourners on Drake Road.
